1. Problem and Troubleshooting Steps
Abnormal outlet pressure indication of a pump (high/low readings, zero reading, or no change).
Taking an electronic pressure transmitter as an example:
First, confirm whether the measured medium is gas or liquid.
Understand process startup conditions and basic process flows.
Diagnose and resolve faults based on process conditions and observed instrument anomalies, following the troubleshooting steps below:

2. Common Faults and Analysis of Pressure Instrumentation Systems
(1) Sudden pressure decrease, increase or unchanged indication curve: In this case, the impulse piping system of the transmitter shall be inspected. Check whether the root valve is clogged, the impulse pipe is unobstructed, there is any abnormal medium inside the impulse pipe, and whether the drain plug and drain valve are leaking. Medium freezing in winter is also a common occurrence. The possibility of a fault in the transmitter itself is relatively low.
(2) Large pressure fluctuations: This situation shall first be coordinated with process personnel, as it is generally caused by improper operation. For parameters involved in regulation, focus shall be placed on inspecting the control system.
